BURNOUT AND STRESS

We all forget that we cannot do it all.  We want to take on more without giving something up.  To avoid burnout, recognize when your feel stress coming on.  It is important to be willing to take a break or have a time out.  Always allow yourself ample time for your responsibilities, also.

When you feel overwhelmed with work and responsibilities, don’t lose sleep over it.  Remember, even if you are dealing with a chronic issue, stress is manageable.  If you can’t solve the problem, you can cope by managing how you handle your feelings.  Make time to watch something inspirational, write in a journal or work on an art project as a way to distract your thinking and uplift your mood.  When you enjoy yourself, whether gardening, seeing friends, or going for a walk, you relax your emotions.
